Messier87 Films — or simply M87 — is an independent creative studio named after the largest black hole ever imaged. Just as Messier 87 bends light and reshapes our view of the cosmos, we create bold, emotionally resonant stories that shift perspectives and spark imagination.

Who We Are

Founded by Adi Naidu and Manasa Veena, Messier87 Films combines a love for cinema with a passion for exploring the human mind and heart.

• Adi brings cross-cultural storytelling, writing and production experience with a knack for blending drama, science, and psychology into powerful narratives.

• Manasa is an award-winning actress (Best Actress – Florida South Asian Film Festival) whose performances anchor our stories with authenticity and emotional depth.

Together, we’re a husband-and-wife team building a studio where ambitious, meaningful, and globally relatable stories come to life.

Why We Do What We Do

Growing up between cultures taught us that identity is complex, resilience is universal, and stories can bridge divides. Our mission is to create films that entertain and challenge, comfort and provoke, and ultimately connect audiences across borders. Recent and upcoming projects include Akeli and other feature-length works that weave science, psychology, and culture into compelling, cinematic journeys.
